Osteopathy

What is Osteopathy?

Osteopathic manual practitioners strive to promote optimal healing, recovery, and rehabilitation. Osteopathy emphasizes the interrelation of your joints, muscles, nerves, circulation, and connective tissues to enhance your overall wellbeing.

Osteopathy employs skilled, non-invasive manual therapeutic techniques for both assessment and treatment. You are viewed as a whole, complex individual, and the treatment is tailored to meet your specific needs.

Lymphatic Drainage Therapy

What is LDT?

The Lymphatic system is comprised of vessels and nodes that transport, filter and absorb fluids, protein chains, immune cells and others important things in the body.

Lymphatic Drainage Therapy is a well documented method of manually stimulating the lymphatic system to improve fluid movement, detoxify tissues and organs, and strengthen the body’s natural defences. LDT is indicated after any form of trauma to the body be it small like a bruise or muscle strain, or invasive such as surgery or radiation.

Lymphedema & Post Cancer Care

What is Lymphedema?

Lymphedema is when a compromised lymphatic system is overwhelmed and cannot keep up with the amount of fluid trapped in the tissue after surgery or radiation. Swelling can occur, creating pain, range of motion restrictions and other problems.

Complex Decongestive Therapy helps move swelling to healthy node areas to encourage drainage, improve tissue health and improve tissue scarring. Lymphatic taping, bandaging and compression garments are other techniques that may be used to support the lymphatic system.
